Dear Agatha Christie Fans,
As many of you may already know, Royal Mail released an Agatha Christie Stamp Set. They state on their website: “We mark not just the centenary of her writing her first crime novel, but also the 40th Anniversary of her death with a stamp issue that’s full of intrigue. To add even more mystery, the six stamps contain hidden secrets in the form of microtext, UV ink and thermochromic ink.”
The stamps depict scenes from the following six novels:
Murder on the Orient Express
The Mysterious Affair at Styles
The Body in the Library
And Then There Were None
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
A Murder is Announced
Fortunately, Royal Mail offered shipment to the United States! I purchased not only the stamp set, but also postcards, the “First Day of Issue” envelopes, and a complete presentation pack. I’ve created a short video so you can actually see what’s available and have a closer look at the details of the stamps. 🙂

I really enjoyed this post and video. I don’t collect stamps, but I do enjoy seeing special ones that have meaning to me. In fact, I found an antique store in Dade City that carries USPS first-day cover issues. I have found some really neat ones that I give as customized gifts to friends and family. I have also started to LOVE old post cards–especially tourism ones for Florida. I found some at the OE on the day of the book fair!

Hi Liz! I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I love discovering old treasures of all kinds. There are so many stories connected to those old postcards, letters, and heirlooms. In fact, my friend and I actually write each other letters. Haha My husband said that we’re the only two people who use the post office to mail letters anymore. 🙂
